The Taki 1000 type appeared in 1993 as a successor to the Taki 43000 type. The dedicated train for transporting fuel to the U.S. Forces in Japan, Yokota, commonly known as the "US Ton", is made up of a series of Taki 1000s for transporting jet fuel. This train, which originally ran via the Nambu Line, has been changed from Shirate to Fuchu Honmachi via the Musashino Freight Line since March 2014, and has been converted to high-speed freight. The feature is that the sticker written "JP-8" is stuck on the side. Currently, they are driven about two days a week.
