- The E231 series 500, which was active on the Yamanote Line, was transferred to replace the E235 series when it was introduced, and is now operated on the Chuo and Sobu local lines. The 10-car train has one less car, and is painted in the familiar yellow line color of the Sobu local line, giving it a new look. In addition, the train is equipped with external speakers, and at the same time, the control equipment was updated and platform position detection devices were installed.
