"REM 5000" is the last two-axis refrigerated freight car of the JNR and was manufactured in 1964-1969. The roof shape differs depending on the manufacturing time, and it is roughly divided into the early type (5000 ~) and the late type (6000 ~). It is characterized by being superior in heat retention capacity to the existing type, and for its PR, a blue band was wrapped to distinguish it from other types.
