The MAXI-IV double-stack car is a three-car articulated freight car for transporting marine containers, with two layers, which is representative of North American rail transport. Each train is made up of 15 to 25 units, and is pulled by a large AC4400 or ES44AC class locomotive in a multiple-unit configuration of 5 to 10 cars, running from the West Coast to the East Coast in six days.
